Will the Calling App connect to my existing BOSS Revolution account?

Yes, the app is an extension of your existing International Calling account. Once you download and activate the app you can start making calls immediately, using your existing Boss Revolution calling balance.

Does the BOSS Revolution Calling App replace my current mobile service provider or mobile calling plan?

The BOSS Revolution Calling App does not replace your current mobile service provider or plan. The app requires that you have a mobile data or Wi-Fi connection.

Can I use the BOSS Revolution Calling App when I am not in the U.S.?

Yes, you can use the BOSS Revolution Calling App when you travel internationally. All you need is Wi-Fi access with a strong internet connection. Unless international roaming is included in your domestic mobile plan, please make sure you turn off your cellular data to avoid roaming charges.

Can I access my contacts from the BOSS Revolution Calling App?

Yes, you can access all of the contacts stored in your phone's address book simply by tapping the Contacts button. You'll have one-tap calling to the people you call most.

Can I add funds directly in the BOSS Revolution Calling App?

Yes. Simply tap your balance on the BOSS Revolution Calling App menu and then choose the amount you want to fund.

You can also redeem a BOSS Revolution phone card in the app.

How do you protect my credit card information?

We take security and the confidentiality of our customers' personal information very seriously. All transactions in the BOSS Revolution Calling App are conducted according to the highest level of security standards and SSL encryption to prevent customer information from being intercepted. All card information is then encrypted a second time before being stored on our secure billing servers.

You can view BOSS Revolution calling rates in the app or on the website. In the app, just select a contact or dial a number and the per minute rate will be displayed. On the website, go to the home page, and choose a country to view the rates.

How do I send a Domestic Mobile Top Up?

How much can I top up at one time?

The amount of top up you can send will depend on your recipient's country and mobile service provider. When you order, you will be able to choose from a list of top up amounts.

How soon is a mobile top up sent?

We send your order immediately to the mobile phone service provider, who is responsible for processing the top up. Most top ups are delivered to the recipient instantly.

Occasionally a mobile service provider may experience a system delay that prevents a top up from being processed immediately. You and your recipient will both receive an SMS confirmation message when the top up has been completed successfully.

Why is my mobile top up order not being accepted?

When placing your order, be sure to select the correct mobile service provider ("carrier") for the mobile phone number you wish to top up. If you select the wrong carrier, the top up will not be processed.

Also, be sure you are topping up a prepaid mobile phone. Mobile top up cannot be done for phones that are on postpaid service plans.

What should I do if my recipient did not receive a mobile top up that I sent?

Please contact customer support and provide the details of your order: the transaction ID number and the recipient's mobile phone number, mobile service provider and country. Our support team will contact the mobile service provider about your top up.

Occasionally a mobile service provider may experience a system delay that prevents a top up from being processed immediately. If you have received a "Pending" notification in your transaction history, please wait until you receive final confirmation of your top up order status before contacting us.

How much does it cost to send a money transfer?

You can find the applicable fee and exchange rate for your money transfer in the BOSS Money app.

After you select a country and the amount you wish to send, you will see the exchange rate that you will receive.  The transfer fee and total cost of your money transfer will be displayed after you choose a delivery method, recipient and payment method.

Fees and exchange rates are subject to change and can vary by amount, country and payment method.

What is the "First TWO $0 FEE Money Transfers" promotion in the BOSS Money App? How do I get it?

Your first 2 money transfers up to $2999 sent from the BOSS Money app are $0 FEE when you pay with a debit card. Simply download and register in the app, send a transaction up to $2999 and we will automatically waive the fee for your first transfer. You do not need to enter a promotional code during the payment process.

Is there a limit to the amount of money I can send?

The minimum amount is $10 and the maximum is $2,999. There may be other limitations that lower the maximum amount based on the recipient’s country or the delivery method you select.

Will I be charged additional fees if I pay for a money transfer with my credit card?

Some credit cards may charge cash advance fees for money transfer transactions. Please check with your card issuer before placing an order to see if they charge such fees.

What information do I need to send a money transfer?

To complete your money transfer, you must have a BOSS Revolution account with your complete name, phone number, email address, and residential address. You can create an account from the BOSS Money app. You also need your recipient’s full name as it appears on their official identification or bank account.

As part of our required regulatory compliance review, we may need additional information and will contact you if necessary.

Do I need to provide personal identification to send a money transfer?

To comply with federal and state regulations, we may ask you to provide your driver's license and/or other identifying and supporting documents to complete your order. We will notify you either during the transaction or immediately after if such information is needed.

When will the money get to my recipient?

Most transfers are available for your recipient in minutes. Factors that may affect transfer time are holidays, delivery method, time zones, agent hours and required review process.

What could cause my transaction to be delayed or canceled?

We are committed to delivering money to your recipient as quickly as possible. Most transfers are available in minutes, but delays sometimes happen.

Here are some reasons why a transaction may be delayed or canceled by BOSS Money:

  • Need for additional information or identification from the sender
  • Compliance or fraud prevention reviews
  • System unavailability or maintenance
  • Insufficient funds in sender’s account
  • Days and hours of operation, including bank holidays
  • Account suspension

In your recipient’s country, there may be delays related to payment partners (including banks, cash pickup locations, mobile wallet operators and disbursement service providers) and their business procedures:

  • Identification requirements
  • Days and hours of operation, including bank holidays
  • Currency availability
  • Delivery restrictions
  • Regulatory review
  • System unavailability or maintenance
  • The amount of funds your recipient has recently received

How does my recipient receive the money?

We offer different delivery options depending on the destination country and our in-country partners. Options include cash pickup, bank deposit, mobile wallet, direct to debit card deposit and home delivery. In the BOSS Money app, you will see the available delivery options after selecting your recipient's country and the amount you wish to send.

Please note that for cash pickup and home delivery, your recipient will be required to have identification and may also need a pickup number, which we will provide.

How much time does my recipient have to collect the money I have sent? What happens if the money is not collected?

Any transaction not paid to the recipient within 30 days may be canceled and refunded to the sender by BOSS Revolution Money Transfer.

Please note that payers also have cancellation policies that may limit the amount of time your recipient has to collect funds.

Why do some countries not offer bank or cash pickup options?

There are some countries where we cannot offer bank or cash pickup due to regulatory or commercial reasons. In the BOSS Money app, you will see all available delivery options after selecting your recipient's country and the amount you wish to send.

Can I send a money transfer from outside of the United States?

The BOSS Money app is also available for residents of Canada (download from Google Play or the iOS App Store). Money transfer transactions made through the Canada version of the app are charged in Canadian dollars; your recipient will receive funds in their local currency.

How do I correct an error on my money transfer order?

If the recipient or transfer information you submitted through the BOSS Money app has an error, it may be necessary to cancel the order and submit a replacement order. Please cancel the transaction from the BOSS Money app or contact customer support directly from the app for assistance via chat, email or phone.

How do I check the status of a money transfer?

You can check the status of your order in the BOSS Money app (download now). You will also receive text messages and/or emails with your order status. You can also contact customer support directly from the app for assistance via chat, email or phone.

How will I know when my money transfer has been paid?

You will receive a text message and/or email when the money has been paid out. You can also also contact customer support directly from the app for assistance via chat, email or phone.

How do I cancel a money transfer?

In the BOSS Money app, find the transaction you would like to cancel on the main screen or on the Your Activity screen. To request a cancellation, tap the transaction, then tap the Cancel button at the top of the screen.

We will do our best to process your cancellation, but if the funds have already been released for payment to your recipient, your order cannot be canceled.

If you need assistance, you can contact customer support directly from the app via chat, email or phone.

How long does it take to get a refund?

After we refund your order, please allow 2 to 5 business days for the refund to be posted with your financial institution or on your credit/debit card or bank account.

Note that it could take up to 10 business days depending on your bank.

The refund will be issued to the same account you used to pay for your money transfer. In most cases, both the original charge and your refund will show up on your bank/card statement. Sometimes, the original charge will just be removed.

What if I haven't received my refund after 10 business days?

If it's been more than 10 business days and you have not received your refund, please follow these steps:

  1. Check the transaction status on the BOSS Money app to confirm that the transfer has been canceled.
  2. Make sure the original charge still appears on your bank or card account.
  3. If the original charge is on your account and there is no corresponding refund, please call customer support at 1-716-271-1468. We will confirm the refund was issued, and provide an ARN number (a reference number associated with the refund) that you can use when calling your financial institution at the phone number on the back of your card.
  4. If your financial institution can't locate the refund, contact us.

IBAN for Bank Deposits

What is an IBAN?

An IBAN (International Bank Account Number) identifies the country, bank and bank account number that you are sending funds to.

Generally, an IBAN consists of a maximum of 27 alphanumeric characters within Europe and a maximum of 34 alphanumeric characters outside of Europe.

To avoid any delays with your money transfer, be sure that you have your recipient's complete IBAN. Use the list below to check if the IBAN has the correct number of characters.

Send Naira for Deposit to Nigeria Bank Accounts

How do I send naira to Nigeria?

On the main screen of the BOSS Money app, tap "Send Money" to go to the Your Recipients screen. Tap "Add" (in the upper right corner) then select "Nigeria NGN" from the country list.

Enter the amount in USD that you would like to send to your recipient. Then select "Bank Deposit" as the delivery method, select your recipient's bank and enter the bank account information.

After you have submitted your order and we verify your payment, the naira you sent will be deposited directly into your recipient's bank account. You will receive a notification when the funds have been deposited.

Before sending money, please be sure that the Nigerian bank account you are sending to is set up to accept naira.

Nigeria Bonus Promotion

What is the promotion?

The Central Bank of Nigeria announced a promotion offering a bonus of 5 Naira (NGN) for every 1 US Dollar (USD) sent to a recipient in Nigeria. The promotion began on March 8, 2021.

When did the promotion end?

The Central Bank of Nigeria announced that the promotion would end on June 30, 2023 at 11:59PM West Africa Time.

Haiti: MonCash Mobile Wallet

What are the requirements for sending a money transfer to my recipient's MonCash mobile wallet?

In order to receive international money transfers, your recipient must have a MonCash Plus account. You can send up to 100,000 HTG per transaction.

Please note that a MonCash Standard account cannot receive international money transfers. If your recipient has this type of MonCash account, they will need to register for a MonCash Plus account.

How can my recipient get a MonCash Plus account?

Your recipient should contact the Digicel store in their area for specific instructions, but the general process would be for your recipient to complete a registration form and provide copies of a valid ID. This is to comply with government regulations.

Digicel does not charge a fee for opening a MonCash Plus account.

My recipient has a MonCash Plus account, but they are still unable to access the funds I sent. What do they need to do?

Please make sure your recipient has authorized MonCash's remittance partner in Haiti (PRIZM Transfer) to deposit the money into their MonCash Plus account.

Your recipient can do this over the phone or directly from the MonCash app. The authorization process only needs to be completed once. Please refer to the MonCash website for instructions.
